Every year at church around July 4th, we sing a song that is very meaningful to me and stretches beyond the love I feel for my country. The title is “This is My Song” by Lloyd Stone.
Because stopping drama is all about bringing about more peace and prosperity for all, I want to share a couple of verses with you to think about as we all give thanks for the freedoms and choices we enjoy.
Many of my subscribers come from other lands including Trinidad and Tobago, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and United Kingdom to name just a few. In that light, I extend my July 4th good will to United States citizens, as well as to all human beings who value peace across the
globe: Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.
This is my song, oh God of all the nations.
A song of peace for lands afar and mine.
This is my home the country where my heart is.
Here are my hopes my dreams my holy shrine.
But other hearts in other lands are beating with
hopes and dreams as true and high as mine.
My countries skies are bluer than the ocean, and
sunlight beams on clover leaf and pine.
But other lands have sunlight too and clover,
and skies are everywhere as blue as mine.
Oh hear my song Thou God of all the nations,
a song of peace for their land and for mine.
Where ever you may be, I wish you peace and prosperity.
Please feel free to post your wishes for peace and prosperity at the end of the post.
